No better place has this expertise been exemplified than at the Arizona Biltmore Resort and Spa. At the time Grossman purchased the failing resort in 1992, it had already passed through bankruptcy and foreclosure. Grossman undertook a $60 million renovation including a complete remodel of every guest room and suite, adding 80 new two-bedroom villas, a state of the art resort pool complex, a 16,000 square foot conference facility, a modernization and complete renovation of the lobby and public areas, the construction of a 20,000 square foot health club and spa and the construction of the 122-room Arizona Wing. As a result of the comprehensive renovation and extremely high emphasis on guest services and satisfaction, the Arizona Biltmore rose to its former stature and became the subject of feature articles in Architectural Digest, The New York Times, Los Angeles Times and numerous other major publications.
In July of 2006, Grossman purchased the AAA rated, Four Diamond Pointe South Mountain Resort located in Phoenix, Arizona. The same team who redeveloped the Arizona Biltmore was assembled to renovate this 164-acre property. The project was completed in April 2009 and included the refurbishment of all 650 guest suites and the development of 104 new Villa suites, the construction of a new resort lobby, golf pro shop, a new restaurant and bar, and several other enhancements throughout the resort, all of which brought the property to a position equaling the new resorts built in the Valley over the last few years. Along with this complete renovation came a repositioning and renaming of the resort to the Arizona Grand Resort.
Grossman has had the same effect on the Inn at Laguna Beach which was purchased in 2001. A complete renovation of this 70 room luxury boutique hotel was completed in 2003.
